High-silica materials and specification-led grades

OPR supply defined by chemistry, form and use.

As quartz, sand or flour, silica enters numerous industrial value chains. SiO₂ content matters, alongside impurities, particle size and behaviour in your process.

Every application needs a suitable grade and testing. OPR confirms grades, processing and availability; no ultra-high-purity grade or certification is assumed.
01

Industrial grades

Specify SiO₂ and limits for Fe₂O₃, Al₂O₃, TiO₂, alkalis or other elements for your process. Lot values require analysis.

02

Low-iron requirements

For colour-sensitive uses, assess iron with whiteness and melt tests. White colour alone does not prove purity.

03

High purity needs separate qualification

Solar, electronic and optical uses need specialised qualification. High-silica industrial material is not automatically HPQ, semiconductor grade or synthetic silica.
